Kim Hensley is a Business Growth Strategist, speaker, author and the founder of Executive Connect—a business where Purpose, Leadership & People Connect.
Kim learned business long before she ever built a career in financial services.
Her entrepreneurial education began growing up in her family’s Chinese restaurant in Missoula, Montana, where her grandfather opened the restaurant in 1961. Her mother and uncle eventually carried the business forward for nearly four decades.
It was there that Kim began to understand something fundamental about business: success is about more than what you sell.
It is the people who deliver it.
The experience you create.
The standards you establish.
And the reputation you build one interaction at a time.
Kim went on to earn her Doctor of Pharmacy degree and build a career at the intersection of people, leadership, and business. Earlier in her career, she held a leadership role with Kaiser Permanente, where she helped grow a team from three people to 26.
For more than two decades, much of Kim’s work has focused on financial services. As a consultant and strategist, she has worked alongside financial advisors and business owners to help them move from working harder to building smarter.
Here work has reinforced a belief that guides everything she does: the strongest businesses aren’t built around one person doing everything.
They are built when purpose is clear, people are empowered, people are empowered, execution is intentional, and the business has the structure to perform and growth without its owner having to be everywhere at once.
That philosophy led Kim to create the Elevate, Amplify, Thrive Framework—the EAT Framework—a practical approached designed to helping business leaders think more strategically, strengthen execution through people and process, and achieve. operational excellence that fuels growth.
Through the EAT Framework, Kim helps business leaders connect the dots between how they think, how they lead, and how their business performs.
Kim’s work is rooted in financial services, but the principles behind business growth extend across industries. Whether working with business owners, leadership teams, or organizations, she forces on the intersection of purpose, leadership, people, and operational excellence.
Her forthcoming book, The Bonfire Advantage, explores how financial advisors can build businesses that attract clients organically by creating the right conditions for people, leadership, and growth to thrive.
Kim also brings the perspective of a client which reinforces her perspective. As a client herself, she understands what if feels like to evaluate a business from the other side of the relationship - to experience the service, assess the value, and decide whether an organization has earned her trust.
Outside of work, Kim enjoys traveling, golf, sunsets, and spending time with her two daughters.
